Andrea Ribeiro, PhD

Diretora

Graduated in Physiotherapy from the School of Health (ESS-P.Porto), in 2001,  obtained her M.Sc.in Physiotherapy Sciences in 2006 and her Ph.D. in Human Motricity, specialization in Physiotherapy by Faculty of Human Kinetics, Lisbon University (FMH-UL), in 2013 Currently she is a Coordinator Professor in ISAVE- Superior Institute of Health (ISAVE-Braga), President of the International Institute of Physiotherapy, Director of (CICS) Centro Interdisciplinar de Fisioterapia, Deputy Director of the graduation course in Physiotherapy, Member of the Scientific Counsil at ISAVE, Director of the Pedagogical Clinic after being Coordinator Professor, and Practice Coordinator at Fernando Pessoa University for several years. With a clinical experience over than 20 years and International Infant Massage Instructor. She is invited teacher at Physiotherapy PhD course at Universidade do Porto, integrated investigator at CIR (Centro de Investigação em Reabilitação-Escola Superior Saúde do Porto). She is also member of the Board of Directors at ENPHE (European Network of Physiotherapy in Higher Education) and member of the Environmental Physiotherapy Association. Andrea’s main research areas include human movement, biomechanics, shoulder, sports and environmental physiotherapy. She is an author of several book chapters, papers in national and international journals and communications in national and international scientific congresses.
